Bernat's Mosaic yarn is one of my favorite yarns to work with. I love the self striping look as it creates amazing effects. This yarn has a beautiful shade range which is great for garments or home decor. Recently we used this yarn for our Crochet Along which turned out beautifully.

Mosaic yarn comes in an array of colors including Calypso, Fantasy, Daydream, and what you see here: Strange Magic. The pinks and purples are great for any time of year. You can crochet a fabulous spring time poncho or something as simple as dishcloths. Mosaic yarn is an acrylic worsted weight yarn that's easy to work with and care for. This yarn is soft and you will love working with it.

Time to redesign

Fall will be here soon and I am redesigning my business. I think I am trying to do to many things at once especially with being back in collage and taking care of my family. SO I need your help please comment on what items you think I should keep making! The fall will also bring some new things you have not seen before and I am actually quite good at making but I think I will let that be a surprise. I will be keeping my paintings because I only do those when inspiration strikes me and my hubby's drawings will stay. I need opinions on the rest though so feel free to share your opinions be brutally honest. If you think I don't do something so well let me know! If you think it is just to flooded of a market for something shout it out! And a big THANK YOU to everyone that will bother to take a few moments of there day to comment.

What's Your Inspiration?

They say "Opportunities don’t happen, you create them.” so what inspires you and motivates you to create? Do you see something you like and decide you are going to make it or do you see the beauty around you and feel the urge to create. I am a painter, metal sculptor, found art , jewelry designer, mixed media, artist..lol that's a mouthful and I still think I left some out! I find inspiration all around me. I have an odd obsession with the Victorian era and the roaring 20's and find inspiration there along with many other areas of interest. My children inspire me as well as nature and a lot of the times my dreams. Aristotle said "The aim of art is to represent not the outward appearance of things, but their inward significance."
So tell us what inspires you to do what you do?

Green Jewelry and Art

Once we as a human race, finally figured out we are basically killing our home, going green became less a tree huger thing, and more of a survival thing. Green everything is now on top of most peoples list of what to look for when buying products and services. Now that green living is a standard, fads have popped up everywhere. It is now cool to make your own detergent, upcycle, recycle, and reuse. I personally love these ideas as I have been "upcycling" for years and just didn't have a word for it..lol. One of the big fad popular from teenagers to retires is pop tab or can tab jewelry fashions and art. If you are creative enough you can do things with the whole can. I make jewelry and sculptures from the tabs and make wall art from the rest of the can. I have also started using other recycled items instead of canvas for my paintings. Many small business jewelry owners and using recycled gold and silver. upcycleing old jewelry into new hip styles. If you have the imagination for it nothing is trash anymore!!
Give us a shout out and tell us how you green! Don't forget to check out my budding new green line at wild ivy design
